Where do I even begin on this post?! I decided I wanted to write a blog post on what being a wedding photographer means to me in hopes that it would reach my clients and let them know this job means so much more to me than they might realize. Not only do I consider myself extremely blessed to get to be a part of people’s most special day, but capturing love for a living is truly impacting and rewarding. What some couples might not realize when booking their wedding photographer is just how much time you actually spend with them on the day of. I am with you guys more than almost any one on the wedding day, sometimes even more than you are with your soon to be spouse haha! It’s so important to have a good relationship with your photographer and that’s why I want you guys to know a little bit more about how I operate and what this job means to me.

I don’t just show up and take pictures, I’m typically helping in any way that I can. Whether it be keeping us on schedule, carrying that beautiful train on your dress, or just keeping the energy throughout the day as positive and uplifting as possible. I truly want to be friends with my clients and have a relationship that feels comfortable and natural so I can capture the real you, along with having fun! I typically cry at all the wedding I shoot whether I know the clients well or not haha! I’m such a sucker for the father-daughter and mother-son dances! Throughout the day I get to know your family and friends so well that more times than not when leaving for the night I’m hugging them goodbye as if we are old friends.

I love getting to meet so many new faces and personalities on the wedding day and love making friendships throughout the process. Not many people can say they love their jobs, I even read about a study the other day that stated that majority of people report dissatisfaction in the workplace. Well I can confidently say, I am truly in love with what I do, so much so it hardly feels like work at all! I’m very humbled when someone decides to have me capture their day and I take this task very seriously, but don’t get me wrong I’m going to be perky and upbeat all along the way while subtly directing people around and keeping us on track with the timeline 🙂

I’m blessed to get to be a wedding photographer and witness so much love throughout my career and want you guys to know how much I love this job and how much I’m going to love you guys as well! I hope this post has given you a little look inside my passion for weddings and my passion for you guys! To my couples in the past, thank you for trusting me and for the friendships we formed along the way and to my future couples I can’t wait to meet you and show you my passion for what I do!
